Mortgage Checklist

The following information is usually required during the loan process:

  • Your Social Security number
  • Working Members
    • Employed wage earners: Current pay stubs and 2 years of W2s.
    • Self-employed: 2 years of federal tax returns including all pages and all schedules.
  • Non-working Members
    • Retirement income: Most recent social security annual award letter, or 1 year of 1099s.
    • Pension income: 2 years of 1099 and award letter conforming three years continuity.
    • IRA/401K income: Current statement with terms of withdrawal and proof of receipt of monthly instalments.
  • Current pay stubs or, if self employed, your tax returns for the past two years and all applicable tax schedules
  • Bank statements for the past two months
  • Investment account statements for the past two months
  • Retirement account statements for the past two months
  • Credit card account information
  • Auto loan account information
  • Personal loan account information

If you currently own Real Estate:

  • Mortgage Statement(s) - should show lender name, address and account number in addition to borrower's name, property address and mailing address (if different from property address)
  • Home equity account information (if applicable)
  • Home insurance policy information
